About: Located in the heart of Fleurie, Yvon Metras began making wine in 1988. An emblematic figure Alongside Thevenet, Lapierre, Foillard and Breton (“the gang of four") , Metras was a proponent of the revolutionary theory of Jules Chauvet and Jacques Neauport which kicked off the natural wine movement in France. Farming just under 6 hectares with vines planted in 1898. These wines are without question the example of beaujolais par excellence.
