About: Gianfranco Manca of Panevino originally a baker and then in the 80s he turned his attention to the family’s very old vineyards, replanting forgotten native varieties and even a few illegal 🤫 Lambrusco vines (his favourite apparently). Every vintage he makes a dizzying amount of wines from many grape varieties and the next year almost all the wines will be different again, he really only wants to reflect the vintage and that moment. The usual common thread is highish alcohol, volatility and intensity of fruit. They may be a little esoteric but I promise 15% has never tasted so fresh!
